Guitar solo generation system

Nailson dos Santos and Prof. dr. Anand Subramanian from the Universidade Federal da Paraı́ba, Brazil, and myself developed a system for computer assisted guitar solo generation. Example output is shown below, together with more "random" solos that were used in an evaluation experiment.

The dataset that was put together for this research, consisting of a number of 1-bar licks, is available here.

The system was recently presented by Nailson at the XLVIII Simpósio Brasileiro de Pesquisa Operacional (SBPO), in Vitória, Brazil and published here:
